UPW Senior Referee Marty Rubalcaba signs with WWE
On the heels of the recent signing of Sylvester Terkay to WWE, UPW is very happy to announce that yet another of its most talented and dedicated performers is about to live his dream in World Wrestling Entertainment. Senior UPW Referee Marty Rubalcaba has officially signed a WWE contract to do what he does best on the grand stage.
Marty has a true passion for the wrestling business. His signing with WWE came as a result of many years of hard work and sacrifice. He has been an integral part of UPW since its inception in 1998.
Rubalcaba laid down the law in many of UPW’s biggest matches; and, during his UPW tenure, had the opportunity to work with many current WWE Superstars, including John Cena, Edge, Chris Masters, and Victoria to name a few. He also represented UPW as a referee in Japan on a tour for Zero-One. Rubalcaba contributed to UPW outside the ring as well, as co-Head of the creative team.
Marty is proof positive that you can achieve your dreams if you are willing to work tirelessly to do so. Rubalcaba will not have to wait long to see some action. He has been assigned to the ECW brand; and will be on the road for this week’s upcoming ECW live events and TV taping. He will consequently be joining up with fellow UPW alums and current ECW Rebels Mike Knox and Derick Neikirk.
Marty has truly become a fixture in the Southern California pro wrestling scene. His presence will be missed, but it was only a matter of time before Rubalcaba’s talent and dedication was recognized and rewarded. UPW would like to thank Marty for his countless contributions, and wish him luck as he lives his dream!
