On Bound For Glory, Raven, Monty Brown And More
- As reported on this site earlier, Jushin “Thunder” Liger will not be working the Impact tapings on Tuesday and Wednesday. TNA management is extremely pleased with the publicity this has gotten overseas in Japan, and when his schedule frees up, they’d love to have him back. There are still negotiations going on to bring in Ultimo Dragon.
- As indicated at yesterday’s fanfest, Monty Brown will face Jeff Jarrett for the NWA Title some time later this year or early of next year. Brown and Jarrett main evented an Impact way back when TNA was on FSN, with Brown nearly scoring the upset.
- This is only speculation at the moment, but there are some rumors flying around that Kevin Nash’s injury may have been an angle to put Raven in the main event with Jeff Jarrett. Either way, Raven will be at Bound For Glory tonight.
- Management is very pleased with AJ Styles as the X-Division Championship and it appears they want him to hold the title for a few months. TNA believes that Styles is the best face to hold the title with Impact still in its early weeks, and few could disagree with that.
- New Japan Pro-Wrestling is interested in booking several TNA superstars for their annual 1/4 Tokyo Dome Show. The most likely candidate is AJ Styles, but Christopher Daniels and others are still be looked at.
Just a reminder that FHWrestling will have exclusive play-by-play coverage of Bound For Glory tonight.
