- Placed in a position to draw the fans’ ire, Jonathan Coachman was said to be very nervous about taking over the lead RAW announcing duties this past week. Coach, who most WWE employees consider to be a very likeable guy, tried his absolute hardest to make a strong impression this week.
- The original plan for Monday’s RAW did not call for the involvement of Steve Austin; the decision to bring Austin into the mix was not made until last weekend. As has been reported, the angle involving Jim Ross has deviated quite a bit from what WWE hoped would have been a smooth transition involving Mike Goldberg.
