September 27, 2006 - For six consecutive years IGN and THQ have teamed up to bring our readers an ongoing exclusive look at the superstars of the WWE, and this season is no exception. Famous the world over, our "SmackDown Countdown" chronicles each wrestler, diva, and legend that will appear in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, and comes complete with never-before-seen screenshots and direct-feed movies of every last one of them. Every day for the next nine weeks, we'll profile more than 60 different personalities (including two each on Mondays and Fridays as a special homage to Raw and SmackDown fans), and for the first time ever, will cover two different platforms with images and video from both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 versions. Hot stuff? You bet.
But enough with the formalities it's time to throw down with today's Countdown superstar, Daivari!

Daivari has brought a monster to SmackDown by the name of The Great Khali. Hailing from India, The Great Khali proved to be a force to be reckoned with as he decimated Undertaker on several occasions including a one-on-one victory at Judgment Day. Daivari was also partly responsible for bringing the most barbaric match in WWE history to The Great American Bash: the Punjabi Prison Match.
Another Daivari partnership was with "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. Together, they created havoc in the ring. Henry challenged Undertaker in a Casket Match at WrestleMania but Daivari was unable to accompany Henry to because of the damage inflicted by the Dead Man at Saturday Night's Main Event. In Daivari's absence, Henry fell at WrestleMania and Undertaker improved to a perfect 14-0 on the grandest stage of them all.
Daivari grew up in your typical ideal all-American neighborhood. However, what Daivari has experienced living as an Arab-American isn't so ideal. In fact, Daivari believes that he has been unjustly targeted with outrageous prejudice, violence and disrespect by the American public to horrifying levels that have created a great deal of anger, resentment and rage within Daivari.
Debuting on WWE programming in fall of 2004 leading a self-righteous crusade to avenge the injustices he feels the American public has inflicted upon him, the Farsi-shouting RAW Superstar and has made quite an impact thus far in his young career. Whether it's managing or competing in the squared circle, Daivari is determined to spread his message. In fact, Daivari even holds a victory over Shawn Michaels.
