Roddy Piper vs. Randy Orton Confirmed For SmackDown! This Week
From WWE.com:
Two weeks ago, a seemingly ill Eddie Guerrero stole Batista’s thunder during a match with MNM. Last week, Eddie struck again when he hit The Animal with a chair after their tag-team match with L.O.D. While it seemed like an accident, Eddie has a history of lying, cheating, and stealing. Just two days before their meeting for the World Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy, will the relationship between Guerrero and Batista continue to be a bumpy one?
The Handicap Casket Match pitting Randy and “Cowboy” Bob Orton against the Undertaker at No Mercy is only days away. Yet, Randy will attempt to gain pay-per-view momentum by adding another legend to his list: Roddy Piper. “The Rowdy One” didn’t take kindly to the RKO he received at WWE Homecoming, and the wily veteran is sure to have a few tricks up his sleeve to level the playing field with his younger opponent. “Cowboy” Bob and Piper used to be good friends, but the elder Orton’s allegiances seem to be firmly in his son’s camp. What will happen when “The Legend Killer” battles an unpredictable Legend on SmackDown?
Also last week, JBL got a measure of revenge on Rey Mysterio when he and Ken Kennedy defeated Rey and Hardcore Holly. Will Mysterio have an answer before their match at No Mercy?
Three more big matches were made for No Mercy last Friday night: A Fatal Four Way for the United States Championship, L.O.D. & Christy vs. MNM, and Simon Dean vs. Bobby Lashley. Will General Manager Theodore Long have any more additions to announce?
Don’t miss all this and more this Friday night at 8/7 CT as Friday Night SmackDown makes its final stop before No Mercy.
