At the beginning of time, there only existed two types of beings: The Elder Gods and the One Being. The One Being gained his power by draining that of the Elder Gods. Eventually the Elder Gods declared war on the One Being to save themselves. In the end, the Elder Gods created 6 weapons called the Kamidogu. When they used the weapon, the One Being split into many pieces, although its consciousness survived. The Kamidogu became lost in 6 different pieces of the One Being. Eventually, these pieces became the realms, and life began to grow inside them. There were 6 main realms: Earthrealm, Netherrealm, Outworld, Orderrealm , Chaosrealm, and Edenia, each with a representative Kamidogu which held the essence of each realm. The question was then asked of how realms could be combined. The Elder Gods decreed that the denizens of one realm could only conquer another realm by defeating the defending realm's greatest warriors in ten consecutive Mortal Kombat tournaments.
The Elder Gods watched over the realms, and governed the realms with untold wisdom; but one such Elder God, known as Shinnok, gave into greed and illusion of false power and wanted the new realm of Earth for himself; however, the Elder Gods had appointed the young God of Thunder known as Raiden to protect Earth. The battle between Raiden and Shinnok was fierce, sending Earth to its near destruction and plunging it into centuries of darkness. Raiden discovered that Shinnok entered the realm through the power of a mystical amulet. It allowed Shinnok to weaken the borders of a realm and therefore enter the realm without challenge and keep the Elder Gods from interfering. Forced to choose between destroying the budding Saurian civilization or to give Earthrealm to Shinnok, Raiden chose the former and stripped the amulet of Shinnok's possession and with the aid of Elder Gods banished the fallen Elder God to the Netherrealm. Raiden buried the amulet deep with the mountains of Asia and created a massive temple to house the amulet and appointed four guardians to serve as the protectors of the amulet. These guardians represented an element that make up the realm: Wind which was represented by the joker known as Fujin, Earth, Water, and Fire. As long as the amulet remained on Earth, Shinnok would remain trapped in the Netherrealm.
Not long after the creation of the realms, the Edenian protector god, Argus, and his sorceress-wife, Delia, had two children: Taven and Daegon. They had another son, which they tried to hide from the other children, but, that did not stay hidden for long. They had another son whom they named Rain, Rain was the unique one of the family, he had the ability to control water, as opposed to his loser brothers who could control fire.
Delia frequently had visions and prophecies of the future. One of the events she predicted was the destruction of all the realms due to the warriors of Mortal Kombat growing too powerful and too numerous. The Elder Gods demanded that a safeguard be put in place in order to prevent Armageddon, and left the task to Argus and his wife. Delia predicted that the climax of battle would take place at a crater within the Edenian Ruins. For this reason, Argus had a pyramid constructed underground at this crater, while Delia created a Fire-Spawn known as Blaze.
While both Argus and Delia had forbidden their own children to fight the Fire-Spawn, I saw it as my duty, as the Prince of Edenia, it was my birthright to defeat Blaze, and take my rightful place as the ruler of Edenia. I had betrayed my father's word and made my climb up the Temple, slashing anyone who got in my way with my trusty Storm Sword, until I stood atop the pyramid with the fire spawn Blaze. Blaze was a mighty foe, but in the end, Blaze could not stand in the way of my destiny. I defeated Blaze and became the ruler of Edenia, becoming a full god in the process. My feeble minded father thought I would fight to keep my fellow Edenian's safe, but he was none the wiser to my plan. I have since used my reign to enslave all the fellow Edenain's into doing my bidding. I have amassed quite the army. I also have found myself a Queen to help me keep Edenia in control. I chose the Demon Sareena to be my Queen. Together we rule Edenia, and all those who try to throw us over.
A figure cloaked in purple is shown walking into a room as his Tarkatan followers Baraka and Mileena approach him
Baraka:Master, I have recieved news that we have a possible intruder in the North Side of the Edenia main gate.
Mileena: Yes my lord, some of the outsiders in the village are trying to get through the main gate. I think they are trying to get in and start some problems.
Sitting on his thrown the man clad in purple looks down in his lap, brandshing his Storm Sword as Sareena pulls out her Demon Fang
Rain: I want you and Mileena to go to the North Side and put an end to these lowly villagers, bring them back to me and I shall make them pay for testing my patience.
Baraka and Millena: Yes, my lord
Both servants bow their heads to their King and Queen and grab their fellow Tarkatan's and head to the North Gate.
Sareena: What shall we do about this problem Rain?
Rain: We shall deal with the villagers when they are brought to us. We shall make them beg for their lives. No one shall tarnish the name of Rain, The Ruler of Edenia. If some of the villagers do not like how I do business, well, I am sure they won't mind paying with their lives. I am the chosen one to rule this Realm, no one can take that right from me, My own parent's could not stop me, my two mis-guided brother's could not stop me, even the creation my mother made, Blaze could not stop me.
A lady dressed in yellow comes running into the King and Queen's lair and falls to her knees and bows to them both.
Tanya: My lords, Baraka and Mileena have sucedded in capturing the villagers trying to break down the gate, Shall I tell them to bring them in?
Rain: Yes, bring them to me, it is time for us to get some answers as to why they have been trying to get outside help to destroy my kingdom.
Tanya: Yes, my lord. Bring them in.
Baraka and Mileena bring the two men into the room and push them towards the King and Queen, with their weapons pressed against their backs.
Baraka: Keep moving. These are the traitors my lord, they are your own flesh and blood.
Rain: Taven, Daegon, my poor brothers, were you trying to get some people to come and rescue you and your fellow Edenian's from my wrath? Answer Me!
Taven: Yes, brother, we have and.....
Rain: Silence! I am no longer your brother, I am your Ruler, and you shall adress me as such. You both shall pay for your treason, take them to the Dungeon and keep them down there until I make up my mind to do with them both.
Baraka, Mileena, Tanya: Yes, our lords.
The trio of servants lead the two descendts of Argus down to the basement.
Sareena: It was only a matter of time till your brothers tried to overthrow you. They must not be pleased with how everything turned out, and now that you run Edenia they are probably trying to get reinforcements to come in and remove your from your position.

Rain: Yes, my foolish brothers have always been jealous of my existence. They were upset that I had a destiny to achieve, while they would do nothing but be the brother's of their Parent's eldest son, who reigns supreme over Edenia.
Sareena: What shall we do with them? Torture them? Starve them? Make them work for us?
Rain: They are too foolish to work for us, they will cause us more problems than we will ever have in our lifetimes. Let's just keep them as our prisoners for now, sooner or later they will beg for me to spare their pathetic lives and come join my Army. When that moment comes, I shall make a note to tell our lovely parent's that all their beloved children now destroy the very land that we were raised on and have adapted to.
Sareena: And, with your father as an Elder God, he can't do a thing to stop any of us, as he is forbidden to interfere in our affairs.
Rain: Let us go to the basement chamber and pay a visit to my baby brother's.
Rain and Sareena get off their thrones and walk past their fellow servants who walk obediently behind their masters. As they make their way to the Dungeon they see Taven and Daegon bound by chains and hanging from the walls as Baraka, Mileena and Tanya guard them.
Baraka: My lord, here are your brothers. They have failed to explain why they wanted to get some outside help to overthrow you, and I fear we never will know unless we threaten them.
Rain: Save the torture for now, I just want to have a talk with my brothers.
Mileena: As you wish my lord.
Daegon: What do you want with us? We are family, this is not how you treat members of your family.
Rain: Family? You think we are a family: Our mother and father pretended I didn't exist for most of our lives, yet you still think we are family? You don't know how foolish you sound right now. I have no family, I am the Ruler of Edenia, and a God, God's do not need families, we have our generals. That is what separates us who achieve our destiny, and those who are just wishful thinkers. You both shall remain here until I decide your fate for you. Betraying the ruler is not something that shall be forgotten.
Taven: Mark my words Rain, you will pay for this, and you will pay with your life.
Sareena: Foolish Taven, you are in no position to be making threats on anyone, least of all, the man who rules this Realm. You and your brother will remain here, think about the treachery you have done, you might be thankful to ever walk again after we are done with you.
Rain: Make sure that these two don't get away, I have plans for the both of them.
Baraka: Yes, master.
The King and Queen leave the chamber and return to the throne room as Baraka, Mileena, and Tanya guard Taven and Daegon.

I was not the only to confront Shinnok; an Earthrealm defender by the name of Liu Kang also emerged victorious over the fallen Elder God. He was able to enjoy peace; but not for long. A pair known as The Deadly Alliance, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, made their way to Earth and sought to end Liu's life. Shang, the evil shapeshifter, changed into the form of Kung Lao, one of Liu's trusted friends. With this distraction, the sorcerer Quan was able to thrust a projectile into Liu's back, and allowed Shang to snap Liu's neck, thereby ending his life. His ceremony was held at the Wu Shi Academy, where a shrine was resurrected in the hero's honor. You know, out of all the times I have saved Earthrealm, I get no shrine. Liu gets blindsided, and gets one; I do not understand their logic... One of the many reasons I disdain them. However, I digress...
I released my Godlike essence in order to defeat the Dragon King Onaga, which presumably killed Shang Tsung and Quan Chi in the process. Upon his death, Shang released all the souls he'd captured, and Liu's body was resurrected by me, and set to kill all of the Shaolin Monks. You see, it is by this time I have become fed up with the people of the Earthrealm, and decided to destroy them. However, Liu's soul in Outerrealm got word of his body's actions, and enlisted Ermac to help save his bitch-ass friends from Onaga and to stop his body.
Liu was able to save his friends and reunite his body and soul with the defeat of the Dragon King. Somehow, he was graced with God-like powers, and sought to destroy me when he came to the conclusion that I was the one who set his body on the rampage. We began a battle in which I was in favor of, and not before long, Shao Khan and Shang Tsung entered the fight, along with Nightwolf, who had heard about our battle, and decided to assist Liu...
Raiden and Liu collided together as the pair rushed towards each other; Raiden holding his staff, ready to strike, and Liu swinging his chains which were still attached to his body. When the pair collided, the were flung back hard, each landing hard in the ground. In the distance, the battle between Nightwolf, Shao Khan, and Shang Tsung raged on. Nightwolf was nearly defeated; he was face down under the boot of Shao, not budging an inch. Raiden and Liu gathered themselves, and rushed together, meeting face to face. Liu's chains wrapped themselves around Raiden's staff, and they were entangled. Out of desperation and a bit of under-handedness, Raiden inched his hands towards Liu's chains on the staff, and sent a shock of electricity through them that sent him backwards, taking the staff with him. With a large smirk, Raiden headed over toward the fallen Liu who struggled to get to his feet. He lept upwards, and dug his knee into the back of Liu. Raiden reached down to Liu's head and wrapped his long hair around his fist so he could control his head. He raised it upward, and faced him towards the fallen Nightwolf under the foot of Shao Khan.
Raiden: Look, this is your fault! LOOK! Nightwolf will now die because you insisted on facing me!
Shao undid his large warhammer from the holster on his back, and raised it high into the air above Nightwolf with both arms. Liu's eyes began to well with tears, as well as fear as Shao's hammer came down and crushed the skull of Nightwolf on the hard earth on which he lay.
Liu Kang: NO!
Raiden: See! Do you see? That is because of you!
Shang bent down to the fallen corpse of Nightwolf and placed his hands on the reminisce of his head. His eyes turned to an emerald green as Nightwolf's soul was absorbed by Shang.
Raiden: You fought bravely Liu... A bit fucking stupid, but brave none the less. I'll leave you... For now.
With that, Raiden gave Liu a stiff elbow shot to the head, knocking him out. Seeing this, Shang and Shao headed towards Raiden, who was heading in their direction as well.
Raiden: That was easily taken care of...
Shang Tsung: Ah, it was... But what is that?
Shang pointed where Liu's body lay, the motions of him breathing clearly visible.
Shao Khan: I will dispose of him!
Shao headed towards Liu's body with his hammer at his side.
Raiden: No, no need to... I could have killed him if I wanted, but I have some plans for him.
Shao stopped, and turned to face the Elder Thunder God.
Shao Khan: It better be something good, I do not want this fool meddling in our plans.
Shang Tsung: I am sure whatever Raiden has planned will be good.
Raiden: Of course it will be... I'm fed up with them ruining everything after I save them... Trust me... He will not interfere. We must be on our way; if he awakens to see us, I will have to kill him, and that'll take the fun out of what I have stored.
The trio headed off into the distance, leaving Liu motionless, but alive in the ground.

Raiden sat upon his throne in the Wu Shi Academy. Upon leaving the unconscious Liu Kang on the battlefield, the Trio of Raiden, Shao Khan, and Shang Tsung decided to do some... Housekeeping, starting first with the Shaolin Monks. With every denizen of the Wu Shi deceased, Raiden decided to make it the home of his operations. The large oak double doors leading into the main room of the academy creaked open slowly, the bright sunlight seeping in through the crack made by the opening of the doors. With the doors fully opened, Shang Tsung entered the room, and approached Raiden's throne.
Raiden: Tell me, this better be good news.
Shang: Oh, it is... We have found them.
Raiden: Ah, excellent; I assume they're outside then?
Shang: Yes, shall I have Shao escort them in?
Raiden nodded, and Shang turned and left the room. Moments later, Shao Khan emerged in the doorway, followed closely by Frost and Scorpion. The trio approached Raiden's throne, and he bade Shao Khan to make his exit. Shao did so, dragging the doors to a screeching shut behind him.
Raiden: So, you must be the famed Shirai Ryu ninja, Hanzo Hasashi, or Scorpion is it now? Anyhow, I heard of what that sorcerer Quan Chi did with your family; tragic, just tragic... What if I could help you find them, hm? I know that's what you're searching for, to be reunited with your wife and son. But, it will not come for free; I request your assistance. Hanzo. If you assist me in crushing this pathetic realm, I assure you that your wife and son will be returned to you alive... What say you?
Scorpion's eyes widened at the promise of his family finally being returned to him. Without hesitation, he nodded, and dropped to one knee in a show of allegiance and obedience.
Raiden: Good, good; as for you...
Raiden's glance switched from Scorpion to Frost, an evil gleam in his eye.
Raiden: I have heard of you too, Cryomancer, and your betrayal of Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei. I must say, I am quite impressed with you; you took your life into your own hands when I requested Sub-Zero's assistance in beating Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, and your training was cut short. This realm is quite large, as you can tell, and honestly, I cannot rule it on my own. I need assistance... A queen... To help me keep these Earthlings in check. What do you say, Frost?
Frost gazed down at the floor below her, clearly trying to make a decision in her mind; stay on her own, or rule the Earthrealm alongside Raiden...
Frost: You have laid down a tempting offer, Raiden... I would be a fool not to accept. I do however have one request.
Raiden: Of course, anything you ask my queen.
Frost: When we finally meet the Lin Kuei, I want Sub-Zero's head for myself. I do not care if you, Shao, or whoever beats him to an immobile pulp, I want the satisfaction of ending his life.
Raiden smirked sadistically, and leaned forward in his throne.
Raiden: As you wish.
At that moment, Shao Khan busted through the double doors in an angry fury, blood coating his hands.
Raiden: What is it now?
Shao: Master Raiden, two of Liu Kang's friends are outside, causing a great deal of disturbance. Shall Shang and I dispatch them?
Raiden: No, no... I have a much better idea; Frost, follow me.
Raiden hoisted himself from his throne, and took point of the trio as Shao and Frost followed, leaving Scorpion behind.
Raiden: Scorpion, make yourself at home; find yourself a room, I take care of my generals.
Raiden, Shao, and Frost stepped outside to witness Kung Lao lifting himself from the ground, only to be pushed back down by Shang while Kenshi hacked at a tree with his sword.
Kenshi: Take that Shao! HA!
Raiden rolled his eyes, and looked down at Frost; they locked eyes, and Raiden motioned her towards Kung while he headed towards Kenshi. Frost shoved Shang out of the way and froze the ground before Kung, who continued to slip and fall on the ice puddle. Raiden grabbed the back of Kenshi's head, and slammed him head first into the tree he was hacking at. Frost got her enjoyment out of Kung's misfortune, and knocked him out with a swift roundhouse to the side of the head.
Raiden: Take these two retards to the chamber. Come Frost, we have much to do.
Frost: Why not finish them? It'd be so much more entertaining.
Raiden: Let's leave them alive... If Liu really loves his friends, he will show and we can take care of him.
Frost: Ah, I understand, baiting the trap.
Raiden: Exactly.
The new king and queen of the Earthrealm headed back into the Wu Shi Academy which was now their home, leaving Shao and Shang to take the limp bodies of Kenshi and Kung Lao down to the chamber.

As the man cloaked in purple known as Rain walks back to his throne room, his general Baraka runs up to him
Baraka: My lord, I have heard reports that a rival clan has been trying to get inside the realm of Edenia. I am afraid they are trying to get inside this temple and free your brother's If they succeed, they will try to overthrow you my lord.
Rain: Who is responsible for such a crime? I want you to take some warriors of your Tarkatan clan and stop those fools before they get in here. Find Mileena and take her with you.
Baraka: Yes, my lord.
Baraka bows to Rain and leads his hordes of Tarkatan to fight the intruders.
Rain: I shall make sure that those fools don't make it out alive. No one will make a fool of me. I am Rain, Ruler of Edenia! All of those who dare cross my path shall pay with their lives.
As Rain walks into the throne room, he grabs his Storm Sword and puts it in his sash and prepares for battle.
Rain: If it's a battle they want, it's a battle they shall get. I must find Sareena, and tell her to prepare to fight off these intruders.
With his storm sword in tow, he walks across the room and finds Sareena practicing some Kata's with her Demon Fang as Rain approaches.
Rain: Sareena, I have been told that a rival clan is trying to claim Edenia for themselves and free my bastard brothers in the process. Ready yourself for battle.
Sareena: I am always ready for battle Rain. After all, I am the person who broke Quan Chi's evil spell and have him frozen at this very moment in the Lin Kuei palace. So, I am sure a few intruders will be a walk in the park.
Rain: That is my Queen. But first, let's go see my foul brother's, maybe they know something about this attempted attack.
Sareena nods and puts her Demon Fang in a side pouch in her pants as she heads to the basement with Rain. As they enter the room, we see Taven and Daegon both tied in chains, hanging from a wall.
Rain: My beloved brothers. It looks like someone on the outside is trying to rescue you both. I do not know who is so foolish to risk their lives to save such insignificant creatures, but in the end, it will be them who will perish.
Taven: You don't know what you are talking about brother, we don't know who is trying to help....
Rain silences Taven with a backhand to the jaw.
Rain: I don't have time to hear your pathetic attempts to deny that you contacted someone to help you escape. So, why don't you save your energy and my time and just tell me who is coming to free you?
Daegon: If you must know, we are going to be rescued by the mighty Red Dragon clan.
Rain and Sareena look at each other and begin to laugh
Sareena: Red Dragon? Those fools that are led by the dolt Hsu Hao? Surely you could have found better help than the lowly Hsu Hao?
Rain:It makes no difference who it is. We are going to pay a visit to Hsu Hao, and this is one visit he won't live through. Come my Queen, we must do battle with this Red Dragon Clan.
Sareena:As you wish Rain. We will deal with you two again later. Don't you wander off now.
Rain and Sareena leave the chamber and cross the palace floor that leads to the outside door. There they see Baraka impaling a man decked in red with his sharp blades as Mileena uses a Sai to stab another.
Rain: Well, it looks like you two have found the enemy and seem to have the upper hand. But, I hope you don't mind, Sareena and myself could not resist coming out here and joining in on the fun.
A rather large man with large stone fires a laser from within it as Rain and Sareena turn to face him.
Hsu Hao: Well, if we aren't truly honored to be graced with the presence of the King and Queen of Edenia. Sadly for you two, we are here to take over this realm.
Rain: Hsu Hao I presume? Sareena was right about you, you are not that bright. But, since you were so nice to come here and challenge us, it's only the nice thing to accept your challenge. Since my Tarkatan horde already made short work of your fellow clan members, I am sure you are up to facing Sareena and myself.
Hsu Hao: It does not matter, with my brute strength and power I will defeat the both of you.
Rain: We shall see about that.
Rain un-sheaths his Storm Sword as he and Hsu Hao Square off.
Rain: NOW!!!! Assume battle formation.
Baraka and Mileena both draw their weapons and stand behind Hsu Hao as Sareena pulls out her Demon Fang
Hsu Hao: You never said anything about taking on the four of you.
Rain: Why would I say that? I like the element of surprise.
Hsu Hao: I will still beat you all.
Hsu Hao readies himself and fires another barrage of lasers at Rain who disappears in a puddle of water.
Hsu Hao: Where did he go?
As Hsu looks for Rain, Sareena grabs a dagger from her back and hurls it at Hsu's leg, as he drops to the ground in pain.
Hsu Hao: You will pay for that bitch!
Hsu fires a laser beam at Sareena as she is sent to the ground. Baraka and Mileena charge at Hsu while he is on the ground and starts to kick him while he is down.
Rain:Now, lift that piece of garbage up.
Mileena and Baraka drag Hsu to his feet as Rain puts his hands together and begins to concentrate. A large blast of water shoots out from his palms as it is sent at Hsu which knocks him back and bumps into a nearby tree. Rain walks over to Sareena and helps her to her feet.
Rain: You alright Sareena?
Sareena: Yes. The laser nearly dazed me, but I shall be fine. Let's deal with Hsu now.
The group walk over to where Hsu is laying on the ground as they circle around him.
Hsu Hao: Please, don't kill me. I was just following orders.
Rain: Orders from who?
Hsu Hao: Orders from your father, Argus.]
Rain: My father, but why would he enlist the help of such a buffoon?
Hsu Hao: I do not know. Please, let me go, I will do anything you want?
Rain: Anything? Fine, I want for you to perish off this planet.
Hsu Hao: What do you.....
Hsu is cut off as Rain lifted his Storm Sword and impales it straight into Hsu's Chest, killing him instantly.
Rain: Let this be a message to my father. No one can stop me, and if I have to, I will defeat him as well. The Legacy of Rain shall carry on, and all those who get in my way shall have their lives ended. Come now my Queen, let's go back to the palace and plan our next series of attacks. Baraka, Mileena, dispose of this filth.
Baraka and Mileena bow to their lords as they drag Hsu deep in the forest as they head back to the temple.
In a temple in the sky we see a lady and a man sitting side by side.
Delia: Rain just killed Hsu Hao. It's only a matter of time until he kills Taven and Daegon. What are we to do?
Argus: There isn't much we can do Delia, I am not able to stop Rain, I am afraid no one can. We might have to seek the guidance of the Elder God's to see if they is some way to prevent Rain from killing innocent people.
Delia: I could make another beast to see if that would quell Rain.
Argus: No, Rain already defeated Blaze, I am sure he would defeat whoever you created after him. Unless there is someone out there who can match Rain's power, we can only sit and watch as Rain destroys everyone.
The temple in the sky fades away as clouds engulf it.

Rain and Sareena walk back into the throne room after disposing of the Red Dragon leader, Hsu Hao
Rain: I cannot believe that my own father wants such feeble people to defeat me. I mean, Hsu Hao? Surely he could have done better than him.
Sareena: I think that it is time for us to add for people to our army. Sure, Baraka and Mileena are excellent fighters, and the Tarkatan are very impressive. But, with your father being a high ranking elder god, we may need a bit more help.
Rain: You are right my Queen, we may have to go to other realms to seek out some fighters who will join us and help us vanquish my father's hand picked defense. The question is, what realm do we go to to recruit fighters?
Sareena: It is fairly common to find the best fighters in Outworld. They have some very evil people in that realm. They would be perfect additions to our ranks.
Rain: Excellent plan Sareena. We shall travel to Outworld through one of the exit portals at the edge of Edenia. Get Baraka and Mileena in here. I need to explain this matter to them.
A fellow Tarkatan solider bows to the King and Queen and exits the throne room to find Baraka and Mileena
Rain: While we are gone, it is up to those two to keep Edenia out of trouble, and most importantly, make sure my brother's don't escape.
The same Tarkatan soldier comes into the room with Baraka and Mileena in tow
Baraka: Our lords, we came as quickly as we could.
Mileena: Is there a problem we need to take care of?
Rain: No,no. Sareena and I were talking about increasing our resources. So, we decided to travel to Outworld and recruit some fighters to join our Army. While we are gone, it's up to you, as well as your clan of Tarkatan to keep invaders out, and keep an eye on my brothers.
Baraka: You have nothing to worry about my lord, Mileena and Myself will protect Edenia, and when you return with your newest recruits, we shall be here, and once again resume ruling Edenia.
Rain: Excellent. You both are trusted General's. Come Sareena, it is time for us to get some new recruits.
Sareena: Of course.
Rain and Sareena get off their thrones as Baraka and Mileena bow to them as they head out of the castle and head towards the Portal to Outworld at the edge of town.
Rain: Be alert Sareena, I am sure some locals will be very anxious with the King and Queen around. You never know if someone would be foolish enough to attack us.
Sareena: I am always ready for surprises Rain.
Rain: Good, let us make our way to the portal then.
Rain and Sareena walk over a bridge that runs across a small pond as they reach the outskirts of Edenia.
Rain: Did you hear that sound? It sounded like faint talking.
Sareena: I did hear that. I have a rather odd feeling about this.
Sareena un-sheaths her Demon Fang as she walks a bit ahead. A group of three wandering villagers appear and surround her.
Villager: LET OUR PEOPLE GO!!!!
Rain: Looks like we have unexpected visitors.
Rain readies himself and disappears in a puddle of water and winds up in back of the leader of the villagers
Rain: You fools. What are you doing?
Sareena hits one of the villagers with a powerful punch to the midsection, sending him flying into some empty boxes.
Villager 3: FREE OUR PEOPLE FROM TYRANNY!!!!
Rain gathers his hands and puts them together and shoots a large jet of water at the villager. Upon being beaten, the three villagers flee in the opposite direction.
Sareena: You alright Rain?
Rain: Yes. Those villagers posed no problems. But, let us hurry to the portal before more of them come. It would look bad of me to kill innocent people.
Rain and Sareena walk over one more bridge before making it to a portal, which was glowing bright green behind two trees.
Rain: Here it is, the portal to Outworld. Be prepared, the citizens of Outworld are very violent, and they will not hesitate to attack us.
Sareena: Right. Let us not pick random battles though, we are on a mission to find possible recruits to our army.
Rain nods as he and Sareena both enter the portal to Outworld. Upon going through they wind up in a very barren wasteland. Trashcans on fire, bones littering the streets and run-down dojo's make up the toxic dump.
Rain: Talk about depressing. This realm has nothing. No wonder so many fighters that come from here are angry. There is absolutely nothing here.
Sareena: Let us hurry and find someone, I can't handle this putrid stench of this realm for much longer.
Rain: Right. Let us try that abandoned Dojo, perhaps someone is inside.
Rain and Sareena head inside the worn down Dojo, and push open the doors. Upon entering they see two people inside presumably fighting. A figure in Green spits out some sort of liquid that dissolves his opponent's skin on contact.
Unknown: AHHHHHH!!! OK, OK!!! You win.
The man runs of of the Dojo, ignoring the King and Queen of Edenia as they approach the man in green.
Rain: That was quite impressive what you did. You have such strength, how would you like to come and join my regime?
The man in green turns to look at Rain. His face does not appear to be normal, and resembles that of a serpent.
Reptile: You want me to join you? It happens to be that I am looking for a master to obey. Tell me, what is in it for me if I join you?
Sareena: Why, you get to obey the best master of them all. King of Edenia, Rain. Along with myself, the Queen of Edenia, Sareena.
Rain: Along with us, you get power to help us control over Edenia, and exterminate those who wish to overthrow us. With all of us on the same side, we will be unstoppable. So, what do you say Reptile, do we have a deal?
Rain holds out his hand as Reptile looks down at it and continues to think the offer over.
Reptile: All that power is very tempting to me. You have a deal Rain.
Reptile shakes the out-stretched hand of Rain as the deal is complete.
Sareena: Excellent. Baraka and Mileena will be most pleased with our newest recruit.
Rain: Yes, and with our newest ally, we have another source to deal against my father's army. It doesn't matter who they pick to fight us, we shall defeat them all in the end. Come Reptile, we shall head back to Edenia, so you can meet with our fellow generals.
Reptile: As you wish, Master.
The three exit the dojo, and head back through the portal back to the Edenian homestead

After taking care of Kung Lao and Kenshi, Raiden returns to his throne, Frost standing behind him. There was nothing to do but wait, wait for Liu Kang to arrive with the rest of his cronies so they could all be taken out at once. Just as he was getting settled in, the large doors swung open once again, and both Shang Tsung and Shao Khan entered the empty Wu Shi Academy.
Raiden: What is it now? I am rather sick of these interruptions!
Both Shang and Shao stepped forward, and knelt down at Raiden's throne.
Shang: Sorry my lord, but a woman by the name of Ashrah is outside; she claims to have some message of importance.
With a sigh, Raiden bent his arm up on the arm of his throne, and rested his head against his hand.
Raiden: See her in.
Shang and Shao nodded as they got up and headed back outside. Seconds later, Ashrah entered the throne room. She look much like Raiden, for some odd reason. This caught his eye, and he lifted his head up.
Raiden: Speak, woman! What message have you for me?
Ashrah: Tis one of great importance... The realm of Edenia hangs upon it.
Raiden scoffed Ashrah off and rolled his fingers at her.
Ashrah: Yes, well. It seems as though Argus and Delia's son Rain has taken over the real of Edenia for himself after Argus bestowed him as it's protector. He has also captured his brothers, Taven and Daegon.
Frost: Your point?
Ashrah took her eyes from Raiden to Frost; her gaze seemed a bit agitated and piercing.
Ashrah: Argus and Delia request your assistance. You are the only Elder God willing and capable of stepping into this conflict.
Raiden slid back in his throne a bit and rubbed his chin with his index finger and thumb.
Raiden: As an Elder God, I cannot interfere in Rain's doings. You see, that'd be breaking the first rule of being an Elder God...
Ashrah: Please, these are dire circumstances!
Raiden: Dire, huh? Dear messenger, you are the one in dire circumstances.
Raiden leaned forward with an evil grin as he signaled his generals at the door to prepare for battle. Shang, Shao, and Scorpion ran in, and Frost had her knives prepared. They were rather close to Ashrah, when Raiden gave them the signal to hold. Just then, A spray of blood flew from Ashrah's neck, as her head fell clean off of the remaining half of the neck as her body collapsed to the floor. Everyone in the room stood in a shocked silence. Everyone that is, besides Shang and Raiden. Raiden gave a nod, and Smoke vaporized next to Ashrah's decapitated body, a bloody axe in hand.
Raiden: Everyone, meet the newest general in my onlslaught; Smoke.
Frost: How in the hell did he get here?
Raiden: Dear, dear Frost. He arrived with Scorpion. I had Shang use his sorcery and his ability to steal souls to pump some life into a pair of Shaolin Monks to deliver messages to two more of my desired generals.
Frost: So he and Scorpion were...
Raiden: No, no. While Shao was searching for you, Shang was looking for Hanzo. There is another general lying in wait for us.
Raiden hopped out of his throne, and stepped toward the Fallen Ashrah. He spit on her carcass, then tapped the head with his foot.
Raiden: Argus!? I know you hear me! We're coming for you, you son of a bitch! Do you understand?
With a smile, Raiden nodded at his staff in the holster on the wall. Shao went to it and grabbed the staff, handing it to Raiden so he could slide it into the sheath on his back.
Raiden: We're moving out... We have bigger issues to deal with.
Shao: What of Kung Lao and Kenshi?
A side door on the main throne room busted open; it seemed to have lead to the dungeon downstairs, as Kung Lao and Kenshi were now standing before Raiden and his generals.
Raiden: I'd ask you how you got out, but frankly, I do not care. Hanzo, would you care to dispose of them?
Scorpion nodded, and stepped away from the group and towards Kung and Kenshi. Scorpion unsheathed his Mugai Ryu , as did Kung with his broadsword and Kenshi with his katana. Scorpion and Kung readied themselves for battle, while Kenshi turned the other way, facing the stairs. Kung took off in a sprint at Scorpion, but he met with Scorpion's spear.
Scorpion: GET OVER HERE!
Scorpion drew the defensless Kung toward him, and held his sword just so that when Kung finally reached him, he'd be impaled. Kung gazed down at the sword, his eyes full of fear while Scorpion sheathed his Mugai Ryu, and pulled off his mask to reveal nothing but a skull. He opened his mouth and unleashed a powerful torrent of fire on Kung, frying him instantly. Scorpion pushed the charred Kung off of his spear and put his mask back on while he made his way to Kenshi. Scorpion looked over his shoulder at Raiden and tilted his head towards Kenshi, who was mumbling to himself while randomly moving his katana around in blocking patterns. Raiden shrugged his shoulders; Scorpion did the same, and turned his head back to Kenshi.
Scorpion: GET DOWN THERE!
Scorpion shoved Kenshi, who then fell down the stairs yelping in pain as his dumb blind ass pinged off of each stone step. Everyone rushed over to see if Kenshi had perished; he had, his own katana thrusted into his own neck.
Raiden: Well, nice job Hanzo. We really must be going now.
Raiden and his generals grouped together, and left the Wu Shi Academy for a portal to the realms.
They had reached the edge of the mountains surrounding the Wu Shi Academy, and Shang Tsung stepped forward. With a wave of his hands and some Chinese jibberish, a portal formed.
Raiden: Impressive... To Edenia, correct?
Shang: Yes. You and Queen Frost may want to fall in behind myself and the other generals, no telling what condition Edenia is in.
Raiden looked down at Frost, who nodded.
Raiden: Follow? We will lead. After all, I am an Elder God, and if these Edenian scum try anything, they will feel the wrath that only an Elder God can bestow.
Raiden and Frost took point with their generals behind them; they stepped into the portal to Edenia, the portal closing behind them.

Rain and Sareena are in the throne room of their palace as they are discussing future plots as Reptile is shown walking into the room
Reptile: Lord Rain, I have met your fellow Generals Baraka and Mileena. They have both welcomed me with open arms, and have made me feel like a true member of this team.
Rain: Excellent. Now that you are one of my Generals, it's important that all of you get along. Which brings me to you Reptile. I am a very urgent mission that only you can fufill for me.
Reptile: What is it that you seek Rain?
Rain: With the recent addition of you to our ranks, we have grown stronger. But we need to keep getting stronger. It is well known that you have served some pretty strong fighters in the past. So, your mission is to find one of them and get them to side with us, can you do that for us Reptile?
Reptile: I have the perfect person in mind. You can count on me Rain.
Rain: Very well, I knew I could trust you. Now go, and bring us back a recruit.
Reptile: I won't let you down.
Reptile bows to Rain and Sareena and quickly dashes out of the throne room
Sareena: You think Reptile will come though?
Rain: I have faith that he will. We need all the help we can get. My stubborn father will not let up until I abide by his rules and help protect this putrid realm. Pathetic old man.
Sareena: I have heard from reports that Argus has even tried to tempt other Elder Gods into trying to make you stop your chaos.
Rain: He is too scared to face me head on. So, he tries to make deals with others to do his work. A true sign of a coward. I am going for a walk, I shall return.
Rain gets off his throne and walks across the marbel floors of the palace and walks out the gates into a nearby forest.
Why must people interfer in my ruling of Edenia? I was born to lead this realm, yet, other people cannot accept it. I will not stand for this. Whether it be my father, my brothers, a rival clan, I will wipe out all invaders, and remain the King of Edenia.
As Rain continues to walk deeper into the wooded area, deep in thought, a bright flash of light appears in front of him stopping him in his tracks
Rain: What is going on here? What are you? Who are you?
Argus: It seems that all the power has made you forget about your own father. Such a shame Rain, using all your powers for evil, and your mother and I taught you to do the right thing.
Rain: Who are you to tell me what I am doing isn't right? You are the same vile creature who never told my brothers I existed. You made it seem like I was the demon child you never wanted. Now, you want me to do the right thing, and fight the good fight. You are Crazy! I am doing what I was born to do, and that is rule this Realm. I heard that you have been getting people to try and make me stop. Let me ask you Father, how does it feel knowing I have your two sons as prisoners in my palace? How does it feel knowing that I killed Hsu Hao, the man you tried to bribe into making me end my reign? And now, you are begging anyone who is powerful enough to try and stop me. You are a disgrace to the Elder God name, and a disgrace to anyone who is from Edenia. You Father, shall be detroyed by me, it's just a matter of time, the same goes for that vile witch of a mother I have.
Argus: You are truly evil Rain, I am going to do everything in my power to bring you back to the side of good. I will be watching you.
The bright light flashes in front of Rain this dissipates.
Rain: Doing what you do best father, avoiding confrontations. You cannot hide forever. Remember that.
Rain exits the forest and heads back to the Edenian palace.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been thousands of years since I have had any contact with my fellow Saurians. Our home world was enslaved and later destroyed by Shao Khan. For years I have been wandering around, looking for someone who is the same race as I am, but have had no luck. In the meantime, I have been serving various people, and helpin them reach their own goals. My latest job has me working for Rain and Sareena. The King and Queen of Edenia. I was told by Rain that I posess power that will be an asset to his army. I accepted his offer, and now embark on my newest mission, find another general for Rain's army. I know exactly who to find, and this person won't let Rain and Sareena down.
Reptile wanders across a stone road as he heads to a certain location in the Vaeternus Realm.
Reptile: I hope they are still here. Now that this realm is free from Outworld, I know they will be.
Reptile walks along a narrow path leading to a big building with iron gates.
Reptile: It's still here.
Reptile goes to push the gates open but is soon bound by a green net that causes him to fall to the ground
Cyrax: So, we meet again Reptile. I thought you and I had a deal. I don't go to your realm, and you don't come to the realm where I am staying.
Reptile: I should have known I would run into you. It's common to find trash when you travel to realms.
Cyrax: Atleast you have your sense of humor, such a shame it won't matter when you are destroyed.
Reptile: Destroy me? Well, first of all you have to find me.
Reptile vanishes from the net as Cyrax frantically looks inside making sure he is really gone.
Cyrax: Clever Reptile, but you can only prolong your fate for so long, just surrender and I will make it as painless as possible.
Cyrax opens his chest, missle ready as Reptile appears from behind Cyrax and hits him with an elbow to the face, sending him down to the ground
Reptile: You are still slow as always Cyrax. Pity, you were once a great fighter, I don't know what happened.
Cyrax lifts himself up and pulls out his Pulse Blades.
Cyrax: It's time to end this once and for all Reptile.
Cyrax begins to charge at Reptile who rears back and Spits Acid which melts Cyrax's Pulse Blades.
Reptile: It is you who will be ended.
Reptile reveals his Kirehashi and begins to slash it over the mechanical body of Cyrax.
Reptile: What's the matter Cyrax? You can't fight back? Well, your life shall soon come to an end.
Reptile leaps into the air, curling himself into a ball and hurls himself into Cyrax sending him crashing into the stone ground
Reptile: Any last words before your demise?
Cyrax: I still fight better than you do.
Reptile gets close to the Cyrax, opens his mouth, and spews acid over him, melting Cyrax down to a sizzling puddle.
Reptile: With that out the way, I must find the person I am seeking.
Reptile quickly dashes past the gates into the large building, he enters a door and runs up the stairs, and makes a right turn.
Reptile: Please still be here.
Reptile opens the door and sees a winged Woman with her teeth sunk into a man's neck, seemingly draining the man of blood. As Reptile steps closer, the winged woman sees him and smiles.
Reptile: Nitara, you are still here. It's great to see you.
Nitara: And it is good to see you as well Reptile. It is a pleasent suprise to see you here in my realm. But, I sense that you didn't come here just to exchange greetings.
Reptile: No, I did not. I came here to propose an offer. A few days ago, I was aproached by the King of Edenia, Rain, and his Queen Sareena. Together they told me to come help them reign over Edenia by joining their army. I accepted. Rain told me that he needs more powerful people to aid him in his quest to dominate Edenia, and fight off his father Argus. Rain gave me a very daunting Task, to find another person whom he can trust to help lead his army into battle. You were my first choice, as you helped me in times of need, and I felt I helped you as well. So, Nitara, will you team up with me again, as we help Rain against his father's invaders.
Nitara: I trust your instincts Reptile. That is why I picked you to help me free my realm. You are one of the most trusting people I have known, and I would be happy to team with you again, as we help Rain.
Reptile and Nitara shake hands as they walk out of the room
Reptile: Lord Rain will be very pleased. I just helped get one of the strongest fighters in the land. I am sure this will prove to him I am worthy of being his general.
Reptile and Nitara walk across the realm to find the portal back to Edenia

The other end of the portal opened in the realm of Edenia in the middle of a poor, broken village. It was clear that the Tarkatans had ran through here, as there were traces of their broken weaponry and pieces of their uniforms scattered on the ground. As Raiden, Frost, and his generals stepped into the village, the locals stopped cleaning up what was left of their village in bewilderment that Raiden, the Elder God, had arrived in Edenia. He looked to the left, then to the right with a snicker; whoever sent the Tarkatans to this village was very malicious. Raiden and his allies proceeded to head through the village, looking at the smashed houses and charred remains around them. While making their way through, a small Edenian boy ran towards Raiden, and tugged on the hem of his shirt. Raiden looked down at the boy with a big smile as he dropped to a knee to meet the boy face to face.
Raiden: What is it, little one?
Ezekiel: Are you the man that mommy said was coming to help us?
Raiden: Yes, yes I am. Agrus sent me. Do you know who that is?
He nodded excitedly, and Raiden chuckled
Raiden: Tell me little one, what is your name?
Ezekiel: I'm Ezekiel. Today's my birthday! I'm this old!
Ezekiel held up full five fingers.
Raiden: Oh, you are a big boy! Are you and your family sick of suffering Ezekiel?
Raiden reached up, and gently cupped the boy's jaw with both of his hands.
Ezekiel: Yeah, they're always burning our houses and beating us up.
Raiden: Well, Ezekiel, since today is your birthday, let me help you first!
Ezekiel's face lit up, as did Raiden's. But his was different, a bit more malicious than the five year old in front of him. Raiden tightened his grip on Ezekiel's jaw as he began to squirm. With a flick of the wrist, he snapped the boy's neck. With his limp body in his hands, he stood, and looked around at the villagers who had circled. He spotted a woman crying on a man's shoulder about two feet from where he stood. With an evil grin, he threw the boy at the woman, figuring it was his mother. Raiden dusted off his hands, as he and his group continued out of the village and out of it. They weren't an hour away from the village, when they heard the patting of footsteps on the dirt road that split a large, grass plane in half. They stopped in their tracks on Raiden's signal, and they tried to figure out how far behind them this mystery person was; about 30 feet, and most likely hiding off the road when they stopped as not to be heard. Raiden pointed behind them, signaling that they should turn around and hopefully suppress the follower. The plan worked; as they passed a tree, Sektor fell from a branch and tackled Frost to the ground. He drew his beam sword and held it high above her.
Sektor: You must die!
Not having any of this, Raiden steadied his stance, and shot a bolt of lightning at Sektor that sent him to the ground.
Raiden: Tell me, why have you been following us?
Sektor didn't speak, so Raiden stepped toward him and put his boot on his throat. He held out his hand and a surge of lightning began to circle it.
Sektor: Argus sent me! He told me there'd be a reward for me if I took you and your generals out!
Sektor groaned in his mechanical voice that spawned from his helmet. Raiden removed his foot, and Sektor quickly squirmed to his feet. He took the proper fighting stance, as did Raiden. They began to circle each other, drawing closer and closer with each completed rotation. The fight seemed imminent, until a white blast came from behind the same tree, and struck Sektor in the back. Instantly, he was frozen in place.
Raiden: You fought well, Sektor.
Raiden said with a bit of arrogance about him as he pulled his staff out of his holster, and took a mighty swing at Sektor, shattering him. Raiden gave a wave at the tree, and Noob Saibot stepped out from behind it.
Raiden: Everyone, this is Noob. He's the last general I informed you about before we left. We have no time for proper introductions, as we are pressed for time.
Noob fell in with the group as each passed the shattered heap of Sektor, who was slowly melting under the Edenian sun. They kept walking for quite a while, not stopping once. Raiden was correct; they were pressed for time. Not to stop Rain though, but to seek him out. As they approached the edge of the Edenian kingdom, the sky seemed to fade to a dim orange. The high castle walls only covered half of the Edenian palace which rose up high. The continued into the kingdom itself, spotting a faint purple figure in the distance colliding with a tan one.
Raiden: That must be Rain...
Frost: It must be, shall we provide assistance?
Raiden: We shall.
The group picked up the pace, rushing towards Rain and his opponent. Once they were clear in sight, Raiden picked up Rain's opponent to be the Oni Drahmen, who was swinging his club wildly while Rain kept disappearing in a puddle of water, and catching Drahmen in the back with a solid beam of water. Drahmen got lucky however, and caught Rain in the head with his club. With the Oni distracted, Raiden rushed forth, and lifted Drahmen by the throat, shocking him with lightning that was pulsating out of his hands. He dropped Drahmen, and headed to where Rain was. He held out his hand to Rain, who took it and pulled himself off the ground.
Raiden: You must be Rain, the one your moronic father asked me to stop.
Rain: And you must be Raiden, the Elder God my father sent for me.
Raiden: Oh, I am... Shall we finish this jackass off?
Rain: Indeed, these Onis have been bothersome all day.
Raiden signaled for Shao and Shang to lift Drahmen to his feet. They each grabbed an arm, and stood to the side.
Raiden: Just sustain the water blast, I have an idea.
Rain: I figured so.
Rain readied his stance, and let a torrent of water loose from his palms, which caught Drahmen in the chest. Raiden took position next to him, and held his right hand out toward the Oni. Electric sparks flew around his hand, and finally lept forward in a lightning bolt that combined with the water. Shao and Shang released Drahmen, right before the electricity hit him. He was driven backwards, the combo of Rain's water and Raiden's lightning drilling him hard in the chest. They both relinquished the attacks when they saw smoke arising from Drahmen's burnt carcass.
Rain: That was pretty easy.
Raiden: It was. Just like how easy it was for you to swipe your father's power away. Rain, I have a proposition for you.
Rain: Do tell.
Raiden smirked; he was pleased that Rain was eager to accept his deal, but he figured that much.
Raiden: You and I... We could rule all realms by ourselves, but since there are so many and far apart, we'd need help. What do you say about a 50/50 partnership, Rain?
Raiden extended his hand towards Rain, who gazed down at it then at Raiden with a bit of curiosity.
Rain: I say... My mentally challenged father will have a hard time dealing with us.
Rain reached down and grabbed Raiden's wrist, and Raiden did the same. The new Deadly Alliance has now been formed...

With the recent joining of the teams, Rain and Raiden walk to a nearby arena, flocked by their generals
Rain: You know Raiden, since we are in the process of making my father look like a fool, why don't we take it to another level.
Raiden: Tell me, what is your latest plan?
Rain: It is simple. Why don't we do what the Elder Gods started in the first place. We run our own Mortal Kombat tournament. This way, we can defeat the weak, and possibly some of my father's recruits as well.
Raiden: That is an excellent idea. We can hold it here in this very arena. But, where do we find kombatants?
Rain: Well, I am certain that some of these angry villagers would love the chance to get revenge on me and my Queen, so we shall allow some of them to enter. If they do agree, they are fools, and are willing to risk their lives for the sake of others. A trait that my father is cursed by.
Raiden: Yes, your pathetic father and his feeble mind. If we do manage to defeat a fellow recruit of his, he will have to show himself eventually.
Rain: My father is a coward, he makes other people do his work for him, without ever showing himself. Now, let us prepare for Mortal Kombat. Reptile, I would like you to scour the town and find us a fool that is so enraged with how we do business, that they will jump on the offer to enter our tournament.
Reptile: Yes, lord Rain.
Raiden: Smoke, you go as well and assist Reptile on his mission.
Smoke nods and bows to Raiden as Reptile does the same to Rain and they begin to walk in the opposite direction, searching various buildings.
Rain: I am sure they will find some vile creature for us to slaughter. Come and we shall prepare at my palace.
Raiden: Very well.
As Rain and Raiden are heading to wards the palace, a bright white light appears in front of them
Raiden: What is this? What is going on?
Argus: Raiden, you have committed treason to the Elder God's. You murdered Ashrah. Now you are teaming with the very man I asked you to help take down. What are you thinking?
Raiden: What am I thinking? What are YOU thinking? You think you could just send me some messenger, and think I am going to listen to your pathetic cries for help? If you thought I would say yes, you are as pathetic as Rain claims you to be. If you wanted to stop Rain so much, you should have broken the rules and stopped him yourself. In my eyes, I don't see Rain as the enemy, in fact, I have a deep respect for him. You see, Rain does things his way, much like I do. We don't care who likes it, and who doesn't. We both lead by example, and if people don't obey our laws, then they perish.
Argus: You will pay for what you have done Raiden. I must now stop you both, and stop you both I shall.
Rain: We will be waiting father, and when the time comes, we won't hesitate to destroy you.
The bright light disappears as Rain and Raiden continue to walk to the palace.
Raiden: Your father really is a stubborn old fool. I will take great pleasure in ending his pathetic existence.
Rain: You and I both Raiden. You and I both.
As the duo carry on to the palace they are approached by a running Baraka.
Baraka: Lord Rain, Smoke and Reptile have found you a willing participant to fight in your Mortal Kombat Tournament.
Rain: Excellent. Take us to him, it is time for us to see our competition.
Baraka: As you wish my lord.
Baraka opens the palace door and leads them to the current holding place of Rain's pathetic brothers Taven and Daegon. Beyond those two is a man bound by chains, surrounded by Reptile and Smoke.
Baraka: Here he is my lord. This fool claims he will end your reign, and your life.
Rain: Is that so? What might be your name?
Jarek: My name is Jarek, I am second in command of the Mighty Black Dragon Clan. I have came to your Realm in hopes of your demise.
Raiden: Such a shame, you came all this way just to be killed. Pitiful.
Jarek: If anyone is going to be killed, it's going to be you Rain. Asa promise to the Black Dragon Clan, I will end your reign, and take over Edenia as our realm.
Rain: We shall see about that. Reptile, Smoke, lead this man to the arena. The time for Mortal Kombat is upon us.
Rain and Raiden head to the arena as Smoke and Reptile drag Jarek's chained body behind them. As they arrive at the arena, a horde of Edenian villagers surround the arena, eager to see their King be defeated. Rain and Raiden enter the arena and sit atop two thrones that are situated on the battle field.
Raiden: Welcome all, to the latest Mortal Kombat Tournament. Myself, along with Rain have came up with this tournament as a way for you weak and pathetic villagers to have the chance to free your Realm, by defeating the King himself. Now, being the realist I am, I don't ever see that happening, but nonetheless, a bonehead by the name of Jarek will be competing in the very first match. So, Jarek, get in the field, and prepare yourself for battle.
Jarek walks into the sandy area as he does a few Kata's and warms up for his fight.
Rain: Jarek, you are in luck, as you don't get to fight me this round. No, quite the opposite, you get to face my Queen, Sareena. Sure, you wanted to face me, but, this is our rules, and I didn't feel you were worthy enough to fight with the likes of me. So, Sareena, prepare for battle.
Sareena walks to the battlefield, Demon Fang in tow, as she steps into the sandy makeshift battle field.
Raiden: Rain, I don't think it's fair just for your Queen to have some action, I think it would be only fair if Frost were to fight Jarek as well. Frost, take your place on the battle field.
Rain: Great idea, it will be two on one. I am sure Jarek can handle that.
Frost enters the field, freezing a few steps as she walks along the sand.
Rain: Mortal Kombat.... BEGIN!!!!
As Rain bellows from his throne for the fight to begin, Jarek tries to catch Sareena off guard with some fast paced kicks, all of which Sareena expertly blocks. As Sareena blocks the final kick, Frost slips in and catches Jarek square in the jaw with a stiff punch, sending him back.
Rain: I am sure Jarek is regretting ever opening his mouth now.
Shrugging off the affects of the punch, Jarek pulls out his Axe, as he begins to swing madly from Sareena to Frost. Sareena ducks under a swing and rears back and sends her fist directly into Jarek's abdomen as he falls into the sand.
Raiden: Jarek is proving to be no match for our Queen's, this is so sad to watch.
Jarek begins to collect himself and he pulls out his lasso and begins to spin it and hurls it at Sareena as it wraps around her.
Jarek: I have you now!!!!
Jarek begins to reel in the Lasso, but manages to stumble back and forth as Frost has frozen the very sand he was walking on.
Rain: Jarek finally managed to get some offense, then he managed to mess up. He must not care for his life. Lucky for him, his life will end soon.
Sareena manages to cut herself out of the Lasso with her Demon Fang as Frost picks Jarek up and punches him in the ribs, as Sareena kicks Jarek repeatedly in the jaw sending him back to the ground.
Rain: Enough!!!! You both have fought with great skills, but he is of no match for the two of you. Raiden, how about we do him a favor and end it for him.
Raiden: I like how you think, let's do it.
Rain and Raiden get off the thrones and step onto the sandy battlefield. They near closer to Jarek as he manages to pull himself up and he looks at the two God's.
Jarek: I am going to take you both down with me!!!
Jarek then begins to charge at both of them at full speed
Raiden: Shall we?
Rain: We shall.
Rain and Raiden both begin to harness their energy, as a large ball of water begins to appear in front of Rain, as static begins to emerge from the hand's of Raiden. Jarek pulls his Axe and begins to lunge at the two God's as the ball of water begins to grow and merge with the static of Raiden's electricity and it fires at the body of Jarek in midair. It hits him and sends him backwards crashing to his death as he is electrocuted. Shang appears and stands over the fallen body of Jarek.
Shang Tsung: Flawless victory.
Shang leaps onto the chest on Jarek and begins to absorb his soul.
Raiden: Well, I think that it went according to plan.
Rain: I agree. This is the perfect way to get rid of all the weak people, as well as take out possible recruits of my father. He won't stop until he takes us down, but if it's a fight he wants, then it's a fight he will get. Come Sareena, let us get back to the palace.
Raiden: Frost, Shang, you two as well.
The four of them head back to the palace, leaving the decayed body of Jarek behind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Delia: Now Rain has started his own Mortal Kombat tournament. What are we going to do now Argus?
Argus: There isn't much we can do Delia. Raiden was our only hope of stopping Rain, and now he has joined with him. It's only a matter of time until I have to take matters into my own hands.
Delia: Argus, you can't stop them, you are forbidden.
Argus: It's like they said, I am going to have to face them myself. For the sake of the other Realms, I am going to have to face them sooner of later. With or without the consent of the fellow Elder God's. I must free Edenia and Taven and Daegon from their Wrath. I will die if I must to accomplish this.
With his finals words echoing, the sky temple disappears

It seemed like any other day, I was heading to the White Lotus Society headquarters, expecting to get in some more sparring with Liu, as I entered the hallowed halls of our Academy, I felt an odd sense of dread come over me as I walked along the cool white tiles on the ground. As I called out Liu's name, I was met by nothing. Every room was left the way it was before, nothing was missing, and seemed to be in place. Just the obvious thing is Liu was not present. I continued to call his name, as I was never met with a response. I was beginning to feel a very sick feeling in my stomach as I entered the room where Liu spent time watching fellow recruits of the Academy train. I walked over to the desk and noticed a folded piece of paper on it, with my name written across the top. I nervously grab the piece of paper, and open it, my eyes scanning over the contents. My eyes went wide as I reached the bottom on the page. My mentor and friend Liu Kang was being held hostage in the realm of Edenia. The King of the realm Rain has ordered me to fight him in his Mortal Kombat Tournament, if I didn't show up, they would kill Liu. Slamming my fist onto the table I swore that I would go to Edenia and free Liu Kang. Rushing out through the Academy door's I run full speed into the forest to find the portal that leads to Edenia.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rain: So, any word on Kai coming to Edenia yet?
Sareena: None yet Rain, but, I am sure his loyalty to his friend will make him accept our offer. When he does arrive, he will regret it.
Rain: I tend to see that it happens.
As Rain and Sareena walk back to the throne room, Reptile appears next to them
Reptile: Lord Rain, I was told by your brothers that your father's spirit paid them a visit in the dungeon, he told them that he has found a way to free them.
Rain: How can it be? There is no way to save them. Why won't he just surrender and save himself the misery? I want you to keep a close eye on them. Make sure they don't escape Reptile.
Reptile: I will alert the other generals of this situation at once.
Reptile bows to the King and Queen and heads down to the basement.
Rain:Your demise is forth coming Father, you better be prepared.
As Rain and Sareena make their way to the throne room a large jolt of Static appears in front of them and takes form
Raiden: So Rain, I take it you heard the news on your father's attempt to free your brothers? I think it's a bluff, as your father is known for being a coward.
Rain: A coward or not, I have alerted the general's of this matter, and have them on high alert to make sure my brother's don't leave, and my father doesn't make it in.
Raiden: With all of our help, your father would have to be foolish to attempt to enter this realm in his real form, and not some wimpy hologram. To change the topic, have you heard any news on Kai's arrival.
Rain: Not yet, I have Nitara and Smoke on patrol to pick up on Kai's arrival as we speak.
Raiden: Good, good. Unlike your father, Kai will accept a challenge, especially since one of his good friend's life depends on it.
Rain: So be it. I shall be at the arena, come find me when that filth arrives.
Raiden: Will do Rain.
Rain leaps into the air and vanishes in a puddle of water as Raiden looks on.
Raiden: While he is off waiting to slaughter Kai, I shall check in with Frost and see the status of Kai's whereabouts.
Raiden vanishes in a cloak of static as he appears inside his latest headquarter in the realm of Edenia.
Raiden: Frost, is there any news on where Kai is?
Frost: I was alerted by Smoke that he and Nitara found a wandering person in the Edenia forest. It has not been confirmed, but it's a good chance that it's Kai.
Raiden: Excellent. I am going to gather Shang and meet Rain at the arena.I would like you to meet up with Sareena and bring all the generals with you as Kai takes on Rain.
Frost: Very well.
Raiden once again vanishes in a cloak of static as he arrives in the outskirts of Edenia and runs into Smoke.
Smoke: Lord Raiden, Kai has been captured by Nitara and is being held at the palace of Rain and Sareena.
Raiden: Good, take Kai and the other generals to the arena. I have a task for Shang at first.
Smoke: Yes lord Raiden.
Smoke vanishes in a thick black cloud as Raiden heads into the palace to talk to Shang.
Raiden: Shang, I need a word with you.
Shang Tsung: What is it that you need?
Raiden: Rain has a request for you, since you have the ability to morph into anyone, he would like you to morph Kai's good friend, Liu Kang, and then you must fight him in Mortal Kombat. Can you do that?
Shang Tsung: It will be my honor to do so. I will beat Kai as his own friend, and then I will take his soul for myself.
Raiden: That is what I like to hear, now prepare yourself, as it's time for Mortal Kombat to begin.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Smoke and Nitara drag Kai to the arena, they are flocked by Raiden and the rest of the generals.
Rain: Kai, so nice of you to join us. I hope you found the place alright.
Kai: Come on Rain, let's get this over with, as soon as I beat you, I will free Liu Kang, and together we will beat your entire empire.
Rain: Your confidence is very high, but that is what will be your downfall.
Rain snaps his fingers as Kai turns his head to the battle field and turns to see his mentor and friend stand across from him.
Kai: Liu, You're alive!! But, what are you doing here?
Liu Kang: I have come to fight you.
Kai: Fight.... me?
Rain: Mortal Kombat..... BEGIN!!!
"Liu Kang" begins to circle around Kai, as Kai stares at him in shock
Kai: Liu, it doesn't have to be this way. I don't want to fight you.
Liu Kang: Then you must die.
"Liu Kang" pulls out his nun-chucks as Kai takes out his Spiked Club and grips it loosely
Kai: Please Liu, let's not do this.
"Liu" runs at Kai and nails him with a stiff kick to the midsection sending him into the sand. As Kai is on the ground, "Liu" steps on Kai's hand, which releases his grip on his Spiked Club.
Kai: Why are you doing this Liu? I came here to rescue you.
Liu Kang: You should be saving yourself right now.
"Liu" lifts Kai up by his hair and punches him over and over in the face as blood begins to pour from open wounds on Kai's exposed face.
Kai: Please Liu, stop.
Rain: Listen to him Liu, and stop beating him up. Instead, just end his life.
Kai: No, Liu DON'T!!!!
Liu Kang: Too late, your soul belongs to me.
"Liu" begins to focus and starts to grow taller, channeling his inner animal, and begins to change into his Dragon Anamality.
Rain: Very impressive.
With one swift movement Kai is lifted into the dragon's mouth and swallowed whole as the screams emitted from the Dragon's mouth grow faint. With Kai consumed, Shang emerges from the dragon morph
Raiden: Excellent stuff Shang.
Rain: I am very impressed by what you did.
As Shang and Rain shake hands, Tanya comes running up to the group
Tanya: Lord Rain, your brothers have escaped from the dungeon.
Rain: Impossible. How could they have escaped?
Raiden: It looks like your father waited till we were all gone in order to sneak in and rescue those fools.
Rain: You shall pay for this father, you shall pay dearly for this.

Upon the news of Argus freeing Taven and Daegon, Rain paces back and forth across the marble floors of the palace
Rain: How could I allow my father to free my bonehead brothers? I was sidetracked, and that allowed him to sneak in and free them. I will not like him get away with making me look like a fool. Mark my words Father, you will pay for this. If it's the last thing I do.
As Rain sits on the throne, Sareena approaches him and sits down beside him
Sareena: Still no word on where they are Rain. They could be hiding anywhere. But, with our general's looking, I am sure we will find them eventually.
Rain: When we do find them, I will take great pleasure in ending their pathetic lives. Argus will regret ever trying to cross my path.
Sareena: Why else did your father wait until we were gone? Because he is a coward. When we do find them, I can't wait to watch you rip him apart, piece by piece.
Rain: When I do, I will have defeated one of the most powerful Elder Gods to ever exist. That is a huge accomplishment. Soon, every realm will bow down before us, as we will rule them all.
Sareena: Let's not get ahead of ourselves Rain, we have to stay focused on finding them first.
A large jolt of static appears in front of the thrones and begins to materialize
Raiden: My troops have not found your father or your brothers, but we have seen a strange figure that was shown walking among the poor villagers.
Rain: I think it's my father being up to something. Come Sareena, we shall go and see if we can find this intruder.
Sareena: As you wish Rain.
Rain and Sareena walk out of the throne room as Raiden vanishes in the static
------------------------------------------------------
Ever since I was chosen to be an Elder God, I always did my best to protect the innocent people. When Shinnok went mad, it was my duty along with the other God's to put a stop to his ways. We lived in peace for many years. But, it was brought to my attention that there are a few people out there bringing mayhem to the Realm's again. Argus apointed me as the new Elder God leader, and it was my mission to travel to the Realm of Edenia and restore order to the Realm. The current rulers, Rain and Sareena strike fear in all of their villagers minds. They are not obeying the rules of being God's. Even our own Kind joined him. Raiden committed treason among us, and for that, he will never be forgiven. Having arrived in Edenia, I see the land in it's decayed state. People staying inside their homes afraid to come outside. It's about time someone fixes this problem, and I shall do that.
This must be the place I mumble to myself. It's in such bad condition. I must stop Rain at once and free this realm and all of it's people.
Walking across the streets of the ghost town, I can only wonder what Rain did to all these people. Reaching the corner of a street, I turn to see a villager peeking out of a house.
Excuse me sir, do you know where I can find Rain?
The man looks at me and procedes to point me to the left, as I see a giant palace surrounded by gates
Thank you kindly.
As I head towards the palace, the man wishes that I keep safe. Inwardly I wonder what he meant by it. Nearing the palace, I see a flash of light move quickly past me, a slight hum of energy emits from it. It couldn't have been, I think to myself. It had to be Raiden. If I follow Raiden, he might lead me to Rain. Drawing my powers of the Wind, I transform into a huge gust and chase after Raiden.
I won't let you down Argus.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Rain: Have you seen anything strange so far?
Raiden: Yeah, all those lame villagers are holed in their homes. They must be afraid to face us. Just like your father Argus.
Rain: Whoever entered my Realm, they will have to deal with me sooner of later. They might as well just show themselves now and get it over with.
Raiden: What is that? It looks like a Giant Hurricane.
Rain turns where Raiden was looking and sees a giant spinning gust of wind heading for this.
Rain: This must be one of my father's trick. Be on guard.
Raiden: I will do you one better.
Raiden forms his hands together and makes a ball of static appear and hurls it at the wind funnel as it makes impact the wind stops and a figure is shown plummeting to the ground.
Rain: Let's see who this weakling is.
As Rain and Raiden approach the downed figure, it suddenly shifts and uses a gust to flip himself on his feet.
Raiden: Fujin? What are you doing here?
Rain: My father must have sent you.
Fujin: I am here to free this realm from your evil ways. As a promise to Fujin I will honor his request.
Rain: Then you shall honor it in battle. You will face us both.
Fujin: I will defeat you both, and free Edenia.
Raiden: Other people tried to free this realm, they all perished.
Rain and Raiden begin to circle around Fujin and rush him with a flurry of kicks and punches
Rain: You never should have accepted my father's mission Fujin. You won't make it out alive.
Raiden: We will see to it.
Fujin: Even if I do die, it won't be in vain.
Raiden: Don't be so sure of that.
Raiden lifts Fujin up as Rain punches him right in the face, each time Fujin loses more and more energy
Rain: We are going to send a message to my father, and we are going to send it through you. Hold him still.
Rain walks a few paces back and leaps into the air propelled by a jet of water and kicks Fujin in the midsection sending his crashing down onto the ground
Raiden: It's now for me to have some fun now, hold him for me Rain.
Rain lifts the prone body of Fujin up as Raiden jumps in the air and begins to head towards Fujin and crashes his shoulder into Fujin sending him backwards into a wall.
Rain: You know, for a GOD, you really don't fight like one. Raiden, let's put an end to his Misery.
Raiden: Good call. Let's put them together.
Rain and Raiden both begin to harness their energy, as a large ball of water begins to appear in front of Rain, as static begins to emerge from the hand's of Raiden. Fujin pulls himself up and begins to apologize to Argus and the people of Edenia. The ball of water begins to grow and merge with the static of Raiden's electricity and it fires at the body of Fujin. It hits him and sends him backwards crashing to his death as he is electrocuted.
Fujin: I'm..... sorry.
With one last gasp, Fujin dies
Rain: You see that father? It doesn't matter who you are, GOD or not. You all will bow to The Deadly Alliance.
Raiden: You can't hide forever Argus. Remember that.
Rain and Raiden both laugh boldly as they head back to the Palace as a wandering Shang Tsung walks over to Argus and Steals his soul as he heads off after Rain and Raiden

We have just killed Fujin, one of the most respect Elder God's. But, we have beaten him. That has to weaken my father's plans a good bit. That should show him that we won't stop until we have beaten my father and ended his life. Once he is beaten, the Realm of Edenia, as well as the other Realms will be under our control.
Rain: Since the demise of Fujin, I am sure my father is more desperate to find people to join him to help take down our army.
Sareena: It does not matter who your father gets, our Army is far too great for his power to defeat.
Rain: There are no more Elder God's he can run to, it's is now only him. He has tried to hide from us for so long, but now he won't be able to run any longer.
Sareena:When that time comes, your father will be begging and pleading that you spare his life.
Rain: Nothing will make me happier than to hear my father groveling. Which bring me to my next plan. On the eve of our killing of Fujin, I have found a gift for our Army. This gift will solidify that my father will soon be slaughtered.
Sareena: And when do we get to see this gift?
Rain: We can see it right now if you wish. That will give Nitara and Reptile enough time to meet us at the Arena. Come now Sareena.
Rain and Sareena exit the throne room and walk down a long corridor and enter a hidden room
Rain: Here is our gift to the Deadly Alliance. I give to you Ermac.
A figure garbed in red and black is shown levitating abocve the ground his green eyes fixed on Rain and Sareena.
Rain: Ermac, I would like you to meet my Queen, Sareena.
Ermac slowly lowers himself to the ground and walks over to Sareena.
Ermac: It is a pleasure to meet you Queen Sareena, Rain has told me many good things about you.
Sareena: It is nice to meet you as well. We have heard a lot of stories about you from fellow Outworlders.
Ermac: Lord Rain, when will I get the chance to show you all what I can do for this army?
Rain: Soon enough, Reptile and Nitara should be bringing your opponent to the battlefield, so, let us head there.
Ermac: After I lay waste to my opponent, I will take joy in helping you defeat your father's army, and helping you rule over all the Realms.
Rain: That day will come soon enough, let us head to the arena.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Hailing from Chaosrealm, I am the Cleric of Chaos. My mission in life is to travel to various realms, and bring strife and chaos with me. I was recently approached by Nitara and Reptile, they amushed me from behind and dragged me to the realm of Edenia. They told me I would enter Rain and Raiden's Mortal Kombat Tournament where I would face his latest addition. Once I beat my opponent I will bring the Realm of Edenia to it's knees, and become the new ruler. And I shall run the people into Choas and Mischief for the rest of their pathetic lives.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rain: Welcome to another Mortal Kombat Tournament, bring in the first kombatant.
Nitara and Reptile drag Havik into the battlefield.
Rain: State your name and place of Origin.
Havik: I am the Cleric of Chaos, Havik, and I hail from the Chaosrealm.
Rain: Very well, here is your opponent. Direct from Outworld, Ermac.
Ermac levitates to the battlefield and continues to hover above Havik
Rain: Mortal Kombat.... BEGIN!!!!!!
Havik pulls out his Morning Star and begins to swing upwards at Ermac who continues to levitate and dodge his attacks
Havik: Get down here and fight me you coward!!!!
Ermac dives down a bit and kicks Havik in the face sending him into the sand
Ermac: Is that the mark of a coward?
Havik: You will pay for that!!!
Havik gets up and begins to lunge at Ermac. Ermac sidesteps his attack and emits a green glow from his hand and throws his arm upward causing Havik to levitate into the air.
Havik: PUT ME DOWN!!! PUT ME DOWN!!!!
Rain: You heard him Ermac, better put him down.
Ermac: As you wish Lord Rain.
Ermac thrusts his arm down sending Havik crashing into the sandy battleground
Ermac: Had enough Cleric of Chaos?
Havik: I am just getting started.
Havik grabs his Morning Star and begins to run at Ermac. Ermac levitates over him and pulls out his Axe and strikes Havik in the back of the skull killing him instantly.
Rain: Ermac Wins, Flawless Victory.
As Rain announces Ermac as the winner he levitates over the fallen body of Havik
Rain: You may now claim his soul Shang.
Shang Tsung appears in a green haze as he leaps into the air and crashes ontot he chest of Havik, crushing his ribs in the process
Shang Tsung: Your Soul is Mine!!!
Shang consumes the soul of Havik as his carcass turns blue
Rain: Very impressive Ermac. My father doesn't know what your power will do to him.
Ermac: It will be an honor to fight alongside you all as we take down your father's empire.
A large jolt of static appears in front of them as Raiden materializes
Raiden: An impressive find indeed Rain. Ermac will do well against your father's army.
Rain: Just you wait father, the day will come that you will have to stop hiding and face us in person. And when that day comes, we will be waiting for you father, and you will be destroyed in the process.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Argus: My fellow Elder God has fallen at the hands of Rain and Raiden. This so-called Deadly Alliance continues to grow strong. I must put a stop to this as soon as I can. I must alert the best fighters on Earth of the fate of the Realms and prepare them for the most important fight of their lives. I vow on the tombs of my fellow Elder God's that I will end Rain's reign over Edenia. Son or not, he must be destroyed, and I promise you that I will stop at nothing to restore peace and order to the Realms.

They are dead. They are all dead. My best fighters from around the world, dead. Rain and Raiden's army was far too much for them. My sons, Taven and Daegon were not ready for such a task. Now, I am left with only two people I can count on to take down Rain and Raiden. I was hoping it would never come to this, but, I have no options left. In what might be my last duty as an Elder God, I must end Rain and Raiden's reign, I must for the sake of humanity. The man known as Argus gets off his throne as he descends to Earth to recruit his last two fighters to take on Rain and RaidenIn the stronghold of The Deadly Alliance, Rain and Raiden are shown in the throne room discussing their big win over Argus' fighters.Rain: I tell you Raiden, our generals sure gave my father a nightmare. They easily killed his fighters, not to mention, my poor pathetic brother's also died in the fight. It's like two wins in the same fight for us.Raiden: No kidding. Now, it's only a matter of time until we get ahold of Argus, and end his life once and for all.Rain: My father has no one left. He is the only one left who can even try to stop us, we both know he can't, but he is bound to try atleast.Raiden: It all depends on him, I know you and I are both ready to fight him, and I know that he is not even close to being ready.Rain: Then he should just allow us the honor of killing off the last Elder God, and letting us rule the world.Raiden: He might be a coward, but he won't just allow us to defeat him. But, all this waiting is boring me, let us head to the Kombat arena, maybe he will meet us there.Rain: Good idea. Father, your demise will come soon.Rain and Raiden exit the throne room and head to the Mortal Kombat arena-------------------------------------------------------- This is it, my last chance at stopping the Deadly Alliance. I hope they are up to the challenge, they are going to be ready for the fight of their life.Argus walks into a building and heads down a long corridor.Argus: Please be here, I need you guys.Argus reaches the end of the hallway and knocks on a thick black door.: Who is it?Argus: It is I, The Elder God Argus. I need to speak with you, it's of dire importance.: Request granted, you may enter. The door swings open as Argus enters the room and turns to see the young man who answered.Argus: Robin, so good to see you. You have grown a lot.Robin: It is good to see you as well Argus. But, you are not here to exchange greetings, you must be wanting to speak with Batman.Argus: You are correct, I am going to need to talk to him, it's very important, the fate of the world hangs on it.Robin: I will go and get him, please take a seat while you wait.Argus: Thank you very much Robin.Argus takes a seat on a leather couch in the middle of the room as he watches Robin dissapear into a room. This is it. If he is not prepared, the world is set to end. I hope they can do what it takes to save the world.Robin: He is in here Batman.Batman is shown entering the room as he walks over to his old friend Argus.Batman:Argus, so nice to see you it's been a while. Argus: It is good to see you as well old friend. Sadly, this visit is not for good purposes.Batman: If I can help in any way, I will do my best.Argus: You see, Rain and Raiden, known as The Deadly Alliance, they have been set on ruling the world, they have taken out numerous fighters of mine, including killing my other sons, Taven and Daegon. You are on of my last hopes, I need you to come and help me try to take down their empire.Batman: I will do my best, but shall I ask my fellow partner for some extra backup?Argus: Yes, we will need all the help we can get, Rain and Raiden are very tough opponents.Batman: Robin, cast the Bat signal, we need our friend to see it and come help us save the world.Robin: Right away Batman.Argus: Come Batman, let us travel to the realm of Edenia, your partner will meet us there.Batman: Very well Argus. The most important fight is set to happen.------------------------------------------------------------------- Rain: I have a feeling my father is just biding some time and avoiding his fate. He can't hide forever.Raiden: Stubborn old fool, he needs to let us just kill him. He is going to die eventually. As Raiden and Rain converse, a bright flash of light emits in front of them.Rain, Raiden, you have killed the last hope the world had. Your reign of terror is about to come to and end.Rain: How so father? Are you going to come down here and stop us yourself?Raiden: Yeah, don't hide behind your words, come down here and fight old man.I will fight you in time, but, I have found a few people who are tired of your ways. And together they will stop you.Rain: Remember your last fighters? You said they would end our reign. What happened? They all perished. The same outcome will happen, it doesn't matter who we face.Raiden: We will kiill them, and then we will kill you, and that bitch wife of yours. You will keep Delia out of this. She is not a pawn in this war. The final Mortal Kombat shall be fought now.Rain: Ready when you are old man.Raiden:Our Victory is almost here.Argus' holographic image aims his arms towards the sky as thunderclouds form and dark clouds hover above the battlegroundRain: Stop stalling, and get on with the fighting. Two figures stand side by side on the top of the cliff as Rain and Raiden look up at themArgus: Meet the men responsible for your downfall, Batman and Superman!!!!!!!!Rain: Hold on. Let me get this straight, you went outside the realm of Mortal Kombat, and brought earth bound fighters here to end our reign? Talk about against the rules.Raiden: And you have enough nerve to say Rain and I are cheaters. Atleast we used fighters in the Mortal Kombat Universe. You broke every rule and went well beyond those limits.Rain: No matter. We will defeat them, and begin our reign over the world. MORTAL KOMBAT BEGIN!!!!Rain unsheaths his Storm Sword as Raiden pulls out his staff. Batman and Superman jump off the cliff and land on the battlefieldBatman: This is it, the final battle. It all hangs on this.Superman: I WILL CRUSH YOU!!!!!!Superman flies towards Rain, who readies himself and shoots out a jet of Water, sending Superman flying backwards, crashing hard onto the ground.Rain: Is this all they have father? Pathetic.Batman takes out his grappling hooks and throws them at Raiden, who teleports in a cloak of Static and appears behind Batman.Raiden: Hello.Raiden rears back and cracks Batman in the jaw with a stiff right hand, sending him back staggering.Argus: Don't give up. Keep at it.While Argus cheers on Batman and Superman, Sareena appears with Delia as she pulls out her Demon Fang and plunges it into the Heart of Delia, killing her instantly.Argus: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Rain: I bet you weren't expecting that father.Raiden: Let's end this once and for all. The world will belong to us.Rain: Let's put them together.Rain and Raiden both begin to harness their energy, as a large ball of water begins to appear in front of Rain, as static begins to emerge from the hand's of Raiden. Batman and Superman pull themselves up and begin to run at the two God's as the ball of water begins to grow and merge with the static of Raiden's electricity and it fires at the bodies of Batman and Superman in midair. It hits them and sends them backwards crashing to their death as they are electrocuted. Argus: It can't be. It can't end like this.Rain: Oh, but it can father. And now, you will come to an end.Raiden: I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. I am sure that we will both take pride and joy in this.Rain: I know we will. So long father.Argus: So be it, I would rather perish than live in a world with you two running it.Rain: As you wish father.... Do it Shang:The evil sorcerer appears in front of Argus as he summons his evil Magic and shoots a mist at Argus. Argus dissapears in the mist.Rain: Now father, you have met your fate. The mist sub-sides as we see Argus has been transformed into a framed picture as Raiden bends down and picks it up.Raiden: Now you will be forced to watch us dominate the world, and you will do it in our throne room. Have fun Argus.Rain: Come now Raiden, to our palace, we have a world to control. I have a nice spot on a wall to hang my father on as well. The Deadly Alliance walks back to their palace as they will run the Realms for the rest of their existance.END
