July 1, 2008 - Summer might be nice if you like the sun, freedom, and barbeques, but if you're a wrestling fan, you probably dread the hotter months. All the free time you now have just gives you more opportunities to pine for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.
Today, we've got a bone and promise to toss your way.
Although the game is still a ways away from its fall release, we've got the list of the next six Superstars that you'll be taking through the latest and greatest THQ brawler. Triple H, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, and The Miz will all enter the virtual squared circle this year.
Although the majority of those six competitors were in last year's title, SVR '09 marks the first WWE videogame appearance for The Miz -- who makes up the current WWE Tag Team Champions with Morrison. This year's game will be tag team-focused according to THQ, so the inclusion of the chick magnet and the Shaman of Sexy mark an important first step in establishing a doubles roster that has been lacking in recent years. The SmackDown six join a previously announced roster of Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy, Undertaker, and John Cena.
